🤫I have a secret confession...

I am AWFUL with names. No, really, I mean downright shameful with how long it takes me to remember my students’ names!

Back in “teacher school” they tell you to learn all of your students’ names the first day of school. I’m here to tell you that I don’t and never have. It takes me most of the first week to get them down and memorized. Until then, I make them wear name tags. After the first couple of days I have them put them on backwards so I can try to remember, then they turn them around if I get it wrong. I still get it wrong friends🙄. All the time.

Guess what? My kids STILL love me. My kids STILL know I love them. And we ALL survive that first week and never think about it again.

I have never had one kid come back and say “hey, I remember that you didn’t remember my name!” Nope, not one.

I do LOVE these name tags this year for allergies! I have one color for my regular name tags and I picked these up to give to students that have an allergy. I think this will help me, my student teacher, and the cafeteria staff.
